Okay, hear me out for a sec. If you subscribe to HBO you also get HBO MAX for free. Not to be confused with HBO GO or HBO NOW, which were different things. This, of course, was before HBO MAX became simply MAX, and HBO GO and HBO NOW were eliminated. You can understand the confusion. Also, now MAX turned back into HBO MAX, so this is all still relevant.
